Margaret is a self-taught painter who started painting when they were eight. Since then they have primarily focused on landscapes; however, recently their work has shifted more towards abstract art. Although their focus is growing and changing, the influence of their previous studies is still visible.

Through their most recent paintings, Margaret creates abstracted landscapes which reflect their emotions and mental space. Often times they explore themes such as the relationship, interaction, and coexistence of joy and pain. This body of work is impacted by their experience of navigating chronic pain after several brain injuries and a debilitating illness.
